I personally think every style that wasn't just a fad but TRULY had legs and staying power for at least a decade will always come back into style. What Kendrick Lamar did with flare jeans is the prime example. It only takes a cultural spark to bring things back into the mainstream. I remember when I was in high school and proudly rocked an afro because in the early 2000s it was having a resurgence in the young black community. My parents laughed and loved it because they both had them in the 70s. I only have a few pieces that fall into the ivy category (mainly sweaters and long sleeve rugbys) but I think specifically because it has come and gone and come back again so many times, it's here to stay.

I thank God everyday I got the last Brooks Brothers Loro Piana sack blazer they made. It’s the equivalent of an Ivy priest’s vestments.

Thank you for this inspiring piece. I have to admit, while being a menswear-head for more than a decade, I had not paid attention to hook vents enough. I quickly ran to my closet to check if my main navy blazer had a hook vent and indeed, it has. Thank god, the day is saved.

"Bum Bum Cream" would make a great J.Crew color code.
